The White Gloves are an American indie rock band formed in Edinburg, Texas in 2024. Since 2024, the band has consisted of members CaY (lead vocals); Arin "Airstrike" Banerjee (guitar, backing vocals); Estebon "Muenster" Cruz (producer, keyboard, vocals); Patrick (bass); Julian (drums) and Bacon (guitar).
All members of The White Gloves, including former members and Olive (a friend of the band) attended the same school in Texas, where the band was formed. In late 2023, Olive suggested starting a band to make covers of X-ray Spex songs. Olive recruited Estebon Cruz, Efrain, Arin Banerjee, Breeze Patel, and Bacon. The band was supposed to get together in Summer of 2024, however nothing came from it. On November 14, 2024, Estebon Cruz asked to form the band again. A Google Form was made for potential names and members. CaY suggested the name Hyperacoustic Xenon, but it was scrapped, and the potential names for the band were: Mt. Moron, Qliphoth, Cynicalia, Mahaprajnaparamita and The White Gloves. Following another vote, The White Gloves was formed, made of members CaY, Airstrike, Muenster, Efrain, Breeze Patel, Julian, Bacon and Patrick.
After The White Gloves officially formed, members CaY, Airstrike and Muenster immediately started working on songs, the first song made was "??? (No, Your Volume's Not Off)", which would later be released on "Demo Tape: Vol 1". CaY would also begin to write a song called "Twelve Days of Gleengmas". After a few lyrics iterations, an instrumental was created by Muenster. The instrumental was rejected, remade, and eventually sung over. The song was
